Product Description
JVC research shows that consumers’ biggest problem with in-ear headphones is their tendency to fall out. The HA-FX66 headphones tackle that problem by using a soft silicon rubber air cushion for the earpiece body. In addition, the headphones come with three different size silicon rubber and memory foam cushion earpieces for the best possible fit. The result is an in-ear headphone that stays securely in place while remaining comfortable. What’s more, the design also provides superior isolation from background noise, allowing the user to get the most out of the headphone’s 8.5 mm neodymium driver. Noise caused by cord movement is also minimized because of the headphone’s friction noise reduction cord vibration-proof structure…. More >>

I ordered these in anticipation for the iPod Touch I knew that I was receiving for Christmas. What a huge disappointment. These sound terrible compared to the Apple earbuds that came with my iPod. Very very tinny. There is no bass whatsoever – even with repositioning these things all over and cramming them as far into my ear canal as possible. There are no mids, no lows, only highs. And the highs are very tinny at that. These make the beautiful music of Nickel Creek sound awful – quite a feat of poor sound engineering, imo.

I put these away to use only in case of emergency and am back to using my Apple iPod earbuds until I can find a better pair.

  2. I own the JVC Marshmallow and once they are seated in my ears the right way they are the best earbuds you can buy for twenty bucks. So when I saw

the JVC HAF66R’S read some of the reviews I decided to buy them. I tried

everything to get them to sound good a bass boost eq setting jamming them

further in my ears everything ! The sound was just to flat. I sent them

back to Amazon and they gave me a Quick refund. Another good earbud is the

    Panasonic RP-HJE300 Check them out.

    These headphones are INSANELY fragile.

They are comfortable and the sound quality is fine. But you MUST keep them in the little plastic gray case. I’ve already had to superglue mine a few times, because I kept putting them straight in my pocket.

One step above the apple iPhone headbuds. The rubber earpiece falls off. I’m not willing to spend $150.00 for those expensive in ear buds. How much can it cost to manufacture?

The sound from these earbuds is excellent, that is once I modified them to fit me. I tried all the different tips included but they just didn’t seal in my ear so the bass wasn’t there. So I went to the hardware store and got some plastic tubing that fit into the tip. I cut a short piece about a 1/4″ and super glued the tip onto the tube. Now.. getting the tube onto the earbud was more difficult since the tube hole is smaller than the nipple it goes onto. So I used some needle nose pliers to stretch the tubing out and tried to get it on quickly before it shrank back. Since the nipple comes off the earbud at an angle cutting the tube at an angle made getting on easier as well. It took me a few tries but I finally got it. Now the tips are long enough to give a good seal and the sound is plenty loud and well balanced. I also used a medium tip in one ear and a large tip in the other so don’t be afraid to use different tips. It’s not uncommon for different tip sizes to fit better. One more thing – all ears are different and finding the part of your ear where the soft air cushion tip can kind of (snap) into will help with them staying in. So if you find yourself in the same kind of situation as me, I hope this helps. I know for most people this would be a pain and I would have preferred that they would have worked for me out of the box but I like to tinker with stuff anyway so this was no big deal for me.
