  1. I bought these to replace a pair of Phillips Surround Sound earbuds (cost about 20.00) that stopped working, but sounded great. I put these in and IMMEDIATELY hated the way they sounded. The music sounded awful…It just sounded weak and not a lot of depth. The only thing I like was that they stayed in and have a good physical design. I’m returning them.

First of all, I owned these earbuds for about 30 minutes and had to take them back. The sound was garbage and the and quality of them was even worse. I ride a sportbike so fit isessential with my helmet on. They’re bulky and when in your ears after X amount of minutes, it’s pretty uncomfortable.

DON’T GET THESE PLEASE! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND BUY SOME SENNHEISERS. THOSE WERE MY LAST PAIR AND THE BEST!

Sound was good while they worked. After about five months the sound in the left ear bud all but went away.

The sound is OK with these, but you can get better ones for about the same price. The in-the-ear design really does block out a lot of ambient noise so these are a possibility for outdoors or riding public transportation. My problem with them is they don’t have a flat surface to push them into your ear securely. They are narrow and curved on the back as you can see in the picture, and you have to grasp this and maneuver them until they have a secure fit. I have another pair of Sony’s of this type that have a flat surface, and you just have to push gently on those and they will slide securely into your ear more easily than these. So, no, I don’t recommend this model. I recommend the Sony MDR-EX71SLA.Sony MDR-EX71SLA Fontopia Bud-Style Headphones with Case (Black)
